What's all the fuss about the word "MICE"?

I have been told by some kind and friendly people that the word "MICE" should not be used for anything related to the meetings industry.

But let me ask all of you:
what better ideas you have to get a short AND catchy AND true name for the MICE industry?

I still believe that "MICE" says more about this particular section of tourism then any other proposal. Just think about meetings, incentives, conventions, conferences, exhibitions, events... Maybe MICCEE would be better? I don't think so.

Let's stick to MICE and let's make it big, so we have something to be proud of and the world wide industry will profit.

EIBTM in Barcelona

Preparation for EIBTM

It's a funny time; after getting back from the ICCA Congress in Rhodes, Greece, the telephon didn't get quite but instead more friends from the meetings industry called me to see wether I would be going to Barcelona or not.

Well, besides that, the industry is booming and I don't get much time to prepare for the end of the year but it is only a matter of organizing, I have been told...
