Valencia (Spain) - the green city with the thousand meeting places

I have been travelling to many countries and even more cities and now and then I encounter some truly unique places, such as in Valencia, Spain.

Invited by a friend (he works for Alinghi), I went to Valencia. I have read a couple of books but I never passed by at the Valencia booth neither at EIBTM nor at IMEX.

Arriving there a real positive surprise: a great highway system within Spain (with the most expensive highway fees I have ever seen!) made me welcome. My first sight of the city was La Ciutat, City of Arts and Sciences. Wow, what a design!!!

I can't desribe the four buildings, they are just out of anything I would have expected here. I don't mean to speak negative about any place, but this has been of real suprise to me. Check out Juergen Stumpe's photos of the the city, you will love them!

And most important, all these buildings can be used for events. If you need a contact within Valencia Tourism & Convention Bureau then contact Désirée Stenderup promocion-ds@turisvalencia.es for more information. She will surely assist you with everything the city has to offer.
